Healing your pet’s pain
Pain is a sign that there is, or has been, trauma experienced, be it physical, mental or emotional. Most animals hide their pain as it is a sign of weakness and opens them up to attacks from others. An animal will not show pain unless it is unbearable.
Pain and past trauma can lead to bad behaviour which is often the only sign animals give us that they are in pain.
What is WEBB Bodywork?
WEBB stands for Whole Energy Body Balancing. It was founded by Dr Edward Bassingthwaighte, a holistic veterinarian, who made it his mission to help animals heal more effectively.
It involves using the somatic bodywork method to assess, treat, and balance the animal to provide it with relief from pain, anxiety and trauma.
How many treatments will my pet need?
The number of sessions depends on the individual case, but even one session can help to ease your pet’s pain.

Verified WEBB Practitioner
I qualified as a certified WEBB Bodywork Practioner in December 2021. I treat all pets from cats and dogs to rabbits and guinea pigs.
What is involved in a treatment?
Initially, I assess the entire body using both touch and observation. Then I use a broad range of hands-on skills to release pain, tension, blockages and restrictions from the physical body and energy systems of your pet.
Animals generally show signs of deep relaxation during a WEBB treatment.
“I wasn’t sure whether what Ali does would help my elderly arthritic cat Ziggy, who was quite grumpy from her pain and didn’t like being touched, but wanting to avoid medications that would further decline Ziggy’s health I wanted to give it a go. Three sessions later and Ziggy has brightened up considerably and seems more interested in life and having gentle cuddles again. Ali worked very sensitively with her, building trust, and gradually was able to do more hands on work which I think really helped a lot. I highly recommend Ali and what she does and would suggest Ali as a go to before resorting to mainstream treatments that could be harmful.”
I was asked by Alison if she could practice WEBB Bodywork on our dog as part of her training towards being a WEBB practitioner. Dottie was a six year old English Pointer and had been rescued from life as an intensive breeder on a puppy farm. As such she was quite shut down, worried, tense and carried a lot of emotional baggage. I was always trying to find ways to improve her enjoyment of life so was happy to try this treatment.
There were obvious improvements right from the first session, with the tension visibly leaving Dottie’s body, but after just the third session the progress and improvement were astonishing. Dottie seemed more comfortable physically and even began to be playful ( having never known how to play)!
WEBB treatment certainly worked for her and it was wonderful to see a “normal” dog emerge from a frightened shell. I would definitely recommend this treatment, and Alison, to anyone.
